Fort Collins, Colo., is the best place to live in 2020, according to new rankings from Livability.com.
Each year, Livability.com ranks the 100 best places to live in America based on an analysis of more than 1,000 small to midsized cities on characteristics such as affordability, safety, economic stability, outdoor recreation, accessibility, and community engagement. This year’s survey also weighed an “opportunity score,” reflecting the city’s job offerings, economic resilience, and growth.

- Ann Arbor, Mich. (median home list price: $473,000)
- Madison, Wis. (median home list price: $330,000)
- Portland, Maine (median home list price: $508,000)

- Asheville, N.C. (median home list price: $508,000)
- Overland Park, Kan. (median home list price: $550,000)
- Fargo, N.D. (median home list price: $268,000)
- Durham, N.C. (median home list price: $369,000)
